DealMaker is an integrated software platform that assists late-stage companies (pre-IPO) in raising capital through all phases of the process from marketing to legal, monitoring, analytics, to issuance and transfer. They promise clients that they can own and control their raise process to get the capital they need faster.

DealMaker was founded by two securities lawyers who believed there was a faster, more efficient and effective way to raise capital than the traditional “pen and paper” method used by private equity firms. They envisioned a better process without lawyers, investment brokers/dealers and other professional services resulting in high fees, less control over the raise and a longer duration to receiving funds.
In addition to these traditional P/E firms, DealMaker was competing with platforms like Republic, and Start Engine who offered an ‘Amazon’ type service that allows investors to select from an array of companies to invest in, but gives the firm raising capital little control over the size and timing of the raise nor the ability to leverage their own customer base as potential investors.
DealMaker needed to articulate their unique value proposition while building strong brand awareness and revenues to protect themselves against the eventuality of a large player copying their model and entering the market.
Owners of growth companies need capital fast and don’t want to put up with the high cost and slow process of the traditional capital raise.

Following extensive qualitative research with internal and external stakeholders, Yield Branding landed on a powerful distillation of the DealMaker brand strategy:
Higher performance, self-managed capital raises that get you to famous success, faster.
This proposition was underpinned by the belief that:
The creative platform captured the essence of the proposition through use of a light line that connects DealMaker with the client need state while illustrating the outcome of famous success.

DealMaker is a privately held entity that does not publicly disclose their results, however, industry observers believe their revenues have grown more than 40-fold since 2020.
